It may not have been an ideal moment, but it is naive to think we will be getting the best moments to make important points. When might he expect to have an appropiate opportunity? It is crucial to seize the chance. His report about what happened opens eyes. The reactions of those in power - both to peaceful campus demonstrations as well as to Colin Holbrook's comments are very revealing. Exposing the over-reactions of the powerful is important. Does it show us a weak spot? My thanks to Colin Holbrooke!

The president being on his way out, and graduation being a ceremony of closure, I also think it was not a good time to bring up the word “genocide,” especially while claiming to speak on behalf of the faculty.
